What is the history of FastCars Vehicle Templates.

Way back in the mid 90’s we were doing signage for company fleet vehicles.

Can you provide a layout of what the signs will look like on our Double Cab Hilux ute they would ask.

Scramble, search, PANIC, and work hard to get a vehicle image we could use.Phew!!!

Oh no then they would ask for the layout on a Single Cab ute….All too hard.

There must be a better way and someone must have these vehicle Templates.

But no…not available particularly for the vehicles we had here in Australia.

Holdens, Ford utes and panel vans as an example.

So off to work drawing, digitising, dimensioning and putting together FastCars “Series1” of Vehicle Templates released for the first time in 1996.

We have not stopped adding to the range of Vehicle Templates and have well over 1000 currently available.

Our first templates compared to how we now currently produce our FastCars Vehicle Templates is vastly different.

They have however always been Vector drawings and compatible and user friendly with mainstream Sign and Graphics programs.

So gone are the days of visiting the local car dealer to get a photo of that specific vehicle.

Only to find that vehicle is tucked in 3 rows back and the one out front is perfect for a photo BUT wrong colour.
